On May 27, 2023, I married the love of my life. It was the best day. The perfect day.
how I want to remember this day
5AM ish. Started waiting for HMUA. They were late but photogs (Abide Studios) were very early.
anxious Chicken early in the morning
And they started taking bts shots, one of our main request was to include Boom and Chi.

7:00AM ish. I woke up like this. Breakfast with AJ with paparazzi. This was important to me because we're a breakfast couple, even way back when we started dating in TORO.
I am now boycotting this book, author is a zionist π«
Also took some photos with Boom and Chicken.
Also with the bestie, of course
matchy with the bestie
why do we look like wlw here π
The biggest fail of the day. Florals. 1.) My bouquet was nothing like the expected, despite asking multiple times if it can be copied as is. We requested last minute to remove the darker pink roses. 2.) Requested for AJ's florals to be put inside his pocket (inspired by Pinterest), actual was it was pinned and it was awkwardly pulled down by gravity the whole day. 3.) They were late, destroying the seating setup my bestie woke up early for.
(The same vendor was also late during AJ's proposal soβ¦ π)
9:00 AM ish. done with our wedding look.
Some more photos while we wait for the ceremony to start:
with AJ's fam
with my fam
with my fam (2)
should've taken more selfies wow
9:30 - 10:00AM. We have no idea what's happening.Β No coordinator probs π₯΄.
Everyone said I look happy while AJ was nervous.Β 90% of my photos were showing all my teeth, giggling like a child π¬.

Non traditional. There were so many things we opted out from the traditional wedding checklists in the Philippines. Didn't like the idea of ninangs/ninongs because we didn't want them to be obliged to give us money π. We didn't have bridesmaids/groomsmen because they didn't have to wakeup early for us. We didn't have vows because we are shy to say what we have to in front of our family and friends. I didn't even have an entrance because I don't like attention. I just randomly (awkwardly) entered and sat next to AJ π.
We requested for a gender-neutral ceremony. This is probably the most important decision I made for this day. I won't be able to control my reaction and facial expressions if I get told to submit to my husband. Our relationship has always rejected gender roles anyway.
Intimate ceremony. Only wanted our closest of closest family and friends there. Everyone was lax and some were hyping us up during the ceremony, it was cute π
these 3 are the nosiest haha
If there was a video coverage, all you will hear is Chicken crying π. One of my proudest moment was pushing through without a video coverage. Didn't want to spend the day acting out picture perfect scenes.
AJ put on my ring incorrectly. ππ

We have some wedding crashers!Β I didn't know it was all of them, or that they were on a video call the whole time.

No program. Best decision ever. Eat and run? No problem we're not waiting for anything.
Potato corner booth. Itβs not my wedding without potato corner. This was also the wedding gift of Prads π.
When we entered the restaurant, everyone already had a potato corner cup in their tables. One of my friends also immediately gave me a cup the moment I sat down so I can have my fix already π.
I did not appreciate the food. Turns out it was...normal? I guess I was rushing myself, ready to socialize. Everyone else complimented it! This is a major compliment as Kapampangans!
Loved the makeup change but the lip color didn't always translate to the photos. Unlike the previous looks.
Wedding mirror. I thought this was an original idea of mine, I was wrong, it's a trend now. The mirror matched perfectly to Fabrika's aesthetic.
We actually bought this mirror and just asked AJ's close friend to do the lettering for us the night before. It is now in our house, still with the wedding text.
even lolo and lola wanted a photo with the mirror
our mirror one day before the wedding
currently at home
Photobooth! Because we had no program, we got in the photobooth with most friends. We asked to keep 1/2 of the printed photos, they are now on our fridge.
cuties π€πΌ
Another last minute: minimalist cake. Inspiration found from Pinterest. It was perfect.
This is where my obsession with cute cakes from @caketales started.
My heel broke.Β We were in the photobooth with my cousins when I heard a crack. Didn't realize it was my shoe until the man in the booth gave the heel to us, something we left in the area. (I managed to walk a few steps at this point, IDK why I did not notice I have no heel π). Bestie gave me her heels to wear until the end of day.
My dress went through it. I am too short for this dress and I still don't know how to walk properly in it π
I was wearing my dress incorrectly. Another reason some photos looked weird haha.
There's somebody new watching Chicken and/or Boom, every time I check.Β It was my sister, then a friend, then AJ's parents, then our witnesses, then AJ himself. It was cute. β£οΈ
Ended the day with coffee with the bestie. She was probably the most tired person for the day, taking in all the task she can because we had no coordinator.
TORO/Xendit friends stayed long after the reserved time slot. We were even asked to move tables because there's another reservation soon.
Oh and also, it didn't rain. Despite the week long forecast of a super typhoon. Like I said, the perfect day βοΈ
