Little Girl in the Dessert Museum

me in Desset Museum 2018

February 18, 2018 was the date of Paramore's concert in Manila that got rescheduled to August 23 (which was announced 2 days before 🙁) and good thing it was also the date of our booked stay in the newest Instagram paradise (opened Feb 10), The Dessert Museum.

The museum reminds me of Museum of Ice Cream đŸĻ which I think is located in LA (that of course I only see in social media too). Pink. Sugar. Everything nice.

There were a lot of hype in the museum before we went because it's new and a lot of influencers had already went to market the place. You can say it's an understatement that we were excited 💕.

Before

No photobombers 😍

We did our research, and by that we meant we searched the hashtag #TheDessertMuseum in both Instagram and Twitter, and then went on and checked the tagged photos in the official instagram account of the museum.

There were only 1 or 2 out there with photobombs despite knowing it is crowded and the IG girls we are inside are happy dancing đŸ˜ģ

During

To me the place is like the castle Paramore's talking about in the song Brick by Boring Brick. A place where nothing is wrong and everything is candy, and make believe. (ok what am I talking about 🤔)

So I was staring at this screen thinking of ways to describe the location but all I could think of was that it's everything that we see in other people's posts in social media. Picturesque đŸ¯

And now it's all up to us how to be creative.

That day we learned it can be awkward for 2 adult boys to play in a seesaw so here's a photo of 1 of them sitting at the center instead.

A wall with bold colors can be enough too for that IG post.

The process was we get to go in groups (maybe 20 to 30 pax) and then we go to these different rooms together. I'm guessing we got about 15 minutes per room to take photos, read about fun facts, and eat desserts 🍩đŸĒ🍭🍧đŸĢ

My favorite will have to be the gummy bears đŸŦ

Some cons

Aside from the amazing views/props/design, I did love the idea that it's organized but I'm not a fan that we get to have limited time, and how it's like we're stuck (but yey rest time) on some rooms waiting for them to let us in on the next one.

And also we can't go back to the places we liked most. It's now or never.

After

Ahhh, my instagram account is happy 😍

(And my broken heart from Paramore's concert being rescheduled is temporarily forgotten 👌đŸģ)
