Something I could go back to when I'm old and I want to remember the little things that contribute to what makes Coron what it is they don't tell you about.
Nope. Nothing like the heat here in Pampanga π₯
Everybody knows that there's Jollibee everywhere we go here in the Philippines. It's the first thing I look for during long drives when I need to pee. A few days in and I noticed how I haven't seen the happy bee here and yet there's a Potato Corner (the best thing ever made π).
The moment I was inside a tricycle on my way back to where I'm staying, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to see my favorite food (and the fact that it was only walking distance from where I stayed). * happy little girl dance *
Potato Corner might be the only franchised business there (or I just didn't care enough to observe ππ») which gives it more of an island life vibe.
People from all over the world are here π©πΌπ±πΎπ²πΏπΈπ½π¨π». People who may or may not be famous bloggers too. People who look more like my Australian bosses than they do me.
AKA people who are taller than me π
I think this may be the place with the cutest tricycles π€
From just anywhere on the streets to even in the middle of the ocean. Maybe it's their version of totobits.
I guess we don't have a lot of those anymore here in Pampanga.
I've experienced island hopping quite a few times already but this is the only time where our boatmen cooked our meals in the boat en route to the islands we are about to see.
On our second day, our tour guide/boat men told us we can buy food in the market and they can cook it for us (without a fee π). He even went and helped us buy our food even though it was quite a walk.
On our third day when we opted for a group tour, our tour guide made art using just a knife and tomato, and that's while we are on the boat with an hour and a half travel time. (I don't have a photo though)
Other than its jaw dropping beauty, one more thing people who already went will probably tell you that Coron have the nicest locals (so it wasn't news anymore to me).
What I noticed though, was how they don't ask for payment until the last minute. From tricycle drivers to boat men and even the lady in the hostel we stayed at. And it wasn't because the fair was expensive.
(just a little self realization that I couldn't do that because what if we forget about the payment after the service is done??? π΅)
It was nice watching them make jokes every time they see each other.
I'm not talking about jokes they tell so that we will hear them (and laugh too). They weren't about showing off or about making fun of the tourists.
Just everyday puns and inside jokes you get to share with your friends πππ
Here's to hoping it won't be overhyped and badly maintained too ππ»ππ»ππ» because I have to go back βοΈππ΄
