A Year With You and Your Little Things

And just like that, it's been a year since I told AJ that he’s my boyfriend, officially. 🎉💛☀️

(Please allow me to be cheesy for this one time 😅)

I have always set rules on what stuff we can post online (despite the fact that we are active social media users) because I have learned that those couples who posts a lot are the same ones who are unhappy 👎🏻 . I had these belief that the best things in life are those we don't need to brag about online. 

But nope. Not today. Today I want to share all the littlest everyday things that we had shared the past year because the world deserves to know how taken care of I am 🐣

So here you go, our year in bullets, just the way I like:

• Last January, we confirmed that I suffer from PCOS
  • He was the one who nagged me until I had myself checked.
  • He was the one with me through every checkup and ultra sound.
  • It was also him who gets to be with me everyday I suffer from the side effects of the pills prescribed to fight it. (yes, clingy)
• That one time he was craving pancakes but didn’t make some until a few hours later when I finally said I want it too 🙄
• How I complained a few times about driving and now he never let me drive anymore. 💁🏻
  • I have also started to associate the car with my bed 🛌. I now have blankets, neck pillows, and eye masks so that I can peacefully sleep.
• He's not a fan of cheese 🧀🧀🧀 but
  • Here for the 4th time, he's making a time consuming chicken roll for me.
  • Here he is still choosing the canned corned beef filled with cheese chunks for our breakfast just because it’s my favorite.
• The one week rest he requested before starting in his new work was spent like it was a normal week for me (I have issues with changing my routines). That whole week he woke up early to eat breakfast with me and to drive me to and from work. 
• Every week day he wakes up at 4 or 430 AM to cook us breakfast while I wake up 2 hours later 🐣
• He told me he will never let me wash dishes. (The highlight of my year)
• I drink 1 cup of coffee a day
  • One time I woke up from our staycation, and one of the first things I did was go to the balcony and read my book (AJ was preparing breakfast). A few minutes later he went outside to give me my coffee. 😭😭😭
  • And then there's every other day I wake up with my coffee ready.
• When we go grocery shopping, he gets mad at me every time I attempt to push the cart 😂
• One night he made me laugh, the uncontrollable-it-hurts-my-tummy kind, nothing new except this time I suddenly had hiccups 👻. 
  • And now he is constantly trying to make it happen again...
• Every time we are both on our phones and I put mine down, he automatically puts down his phone too.
• A cat bit me this year (🐱vs 🐣)!!!!!
  • He took care of my HMO documents when I was rushed to the hospital for the rashes. While I was fast asleep because of the meds. 
  • Then he had a panic moment and blamed himself when my rashes got worse. (I wasn’t allowed to eat egg but he let me once) 
• He always tells me not to sleep (when I already had my nap for the day), and then proceeds to let me after.
• And when I fall asleep, there's no way he'd wake me up to tell me I took up all the space 😅

"You were my peace in this lifetime of war" - Achilles to Briseis (Troy, 2004). This is exactly what this past year felt like.
