I first heard about LANY when they were set to visit the Philippines for the second time. They were to play their new album in several Ayala Malls. My friends were talking about it and I was the only one who didn't know who they were so I went home that night, went to my laptop, and searched for their songs in Apple Music (that I only had for the app's 3 month free trial).
Their songs had me questioning who broke their hearts for all the pain they make us feel πAnd it was on for repeat for months from there.
(irrelevant story: this is how I found out about Daniel Ceasar too π)
We thought we got this. We used to talk about how we might arrive too early when planning out our itinerary. And then we got there 3 hours before the concert with the longest line I've ever seen. π
We rushed to get in line and waited until 8:30PM for the band to come out.
And that's the story of how we didn't get to eat until midnight.
This had been bugging me since we bought our tickets. I wanna get close to LANY and for that there's a big chance it will be hard to keep up with tall people.
And that's exactly what happened.
It was like I tiptoed for the entirety of the concert π£
Plus smart phones taking over my field of view so I had to keep my neck higher too.
This is my first arena concert, my first VIP standing concert, and I didn't expect all that pushing to happen just to get closer to the band. I know I'm not claustrophobic, or am I a little? π€π€π€
Got us questioning if this was what VIP meant π€
(It feels like everything I might say next is an understatement of how great that night was)
Watching one of my favorite bands play my favorite songs π€π». Taking photos and videos to remember this moment. Jumping (and stopping after 2 attempts because no one else was jumping). Singing my heart out πeven to those songs I thought I don't know π
Having my heart broken by Hericane when 13 is my favorite.
Having my heart broken again with ILYSB because it means the concert's about to be over.
In the end, my feet hurts, my neck hurts, my arm hurts, and it was still one of those nights I might never forget π
Thank you LANY!!!! π
